Sleeping kids
I love peeking in on the kids while they sleep. So peaceful, actually still long enough for me to study their faces. Beautifully made. Angels. God MUST love me.
This morning I was blessed to watch David stretching out as he left sleep behind. I love how he puts his plumpy hands together and snuggles them under his cheek. Quite the adorable sight.
And then...they awaken...they are bouncing blurs that obliterate any kind of silence there may be.
Love.

Three kids
The three kiddos...
They're growing! Yes, they do grow. Yes, there's an abundance of facets that go into those three words.
I'm with our kids all the time, unless I'm at work or I happen to slip out to a movie or grocery shop alone on rare occasion. I wouldn't trade my time with them for anything, not even when the sound level inside the minivan reaches decibels equivalent to a full football stadium on Superbowl Sunday. Not even when a shoe comes flying from the back of the van, grazes my head and lands on the dashboard.
I see them growing, their personalities showing more and more with each season.
When I take a step back and take a look at them from a distance, they are so little. So little and young still. 6, 5 and 3. Little explorers with dreams ahead of them, searching for and finding fun in every tiny thing they come across. Imaginations overflowing. They can turn a boring adult world into an amusement park, just by their presence. Who really needs Disneyworld, when the geese, trees and a pond at the county park can be so magical? (I'd still go to Disney any day of the week, just so you know.)
They are together 98.8% of the time. Savannah and Luke have spent each and everyday at each other's side since the day Luke was born. David has always known his brother and sister from day one. Learning to sit, learning to crawl, through all the milestones they've walked together. Wow.
Amongst themselves, they bicker, push, wrestle, punch, poke, tickle, laugh, chase, tease, uplift, hug...I sure do have a hand in an unforgettable part of life, that's for sure!

Overheard around here...
It's 10:00am, and I hear Savannah order Luke, "Take off your coat! We're not going outside. We're bats, remember? We only go out when it's dark."
Imagination galore around here.
