Savannah, 35 months

Savannah and I were riding in the backseat of Uncle Tyler's Pilot, and I pulled the lip gloss out of my pocket because I was sitting on it...

Savannah: What's that?

Me: It's lip gloss.

Savannah: I want some.

I proceeded to put some on my lips and then guided her on how to pucker up while I applied and then taught her how to rub her lips together gently.

She looks at me and smiles.

Savannah: DAD!! (to my surprise)

Judd: What?

Savannah: Me and Mommy have lipgosses on!!

Judd: That's so nice.

It's little moments like this one, that really make me feel like a mother.

Savannah keeps herself so busy with so many other things, and I ALWAYS keep my lip gloss and makeup hidden, she knows it's for mommies and it's a big NO TOUCH.

Another Savannah moment...

On our way back from Wichita, I made a quick stop at the drive-thru Starbucks in Emporia. Savannah was in her carseat behind me, and both of our windows were rolled down.

Starbucks person: Would you like to try our frufru coco mocho latte?

Me: I'm just going to take a minute to look at your menu, thanks.

Starbucks person: Just let me know when you are ready.

Savannah: Immediately, Savannah shouts out of her window, "OKAY! WE'RE READY!!"

I LOVE having a two year old around. It makes for a wonderful life.
