I found this today...it's the printout we left for our first babysitter for our first child. I love how thourough I was! It really is hard for us to leave our babies with anoyone, it's like leaving our hearts behind, even if it is just for an hour or two.
Savannah V. Blake
Age today: 13 months
Birthday: 1-19-06
Pediatrician: Dr. Donald Vannaman (913) 541-3300
Poison Control: (913) 588-6633 or 1(800)222-1222
Contacting Savannah’s parents:
Judd Blake at work (913) 345-9555, he’s at work on Saturdays.
Brenda Blake – call Gena’s cell phone number to reach Brenda, or call your mom’s phone.
Savannah cannot have:
Grapes, popcorn, peanut butter or peanuts, hot dogs, chocolate.
She can only drink water from her sippy cup or milk in a cup with a straw, no juices yet. She can have Cheerios for a snack (in her diaper bag).
For lunch at 11:00 she can have spaghetti, cantaloupe and graham crackers. You can spoon feed the spaghetti, and she can self feed the cantaloupe and crackers. She may need some help. Milk to drink with lunch.
She may or may not take a nap after lunch, she might be too excited to sleep.
Stay with Savannah whenever she's eating or drinking, make sure she's upright when you're feeding her solid food, and don't insist that she eat if she cries or resists. Mash or grind food so that it's soft enough for her to gum or chew. Because young children are likely to swallow without chewing, don't give her peanut butter, popcorn, raw carrots, raisins, nuts, whole grapes (cut them up, instead), hard candies, uncooked peas, or hot dogs (even in small pieces) until she's at least 4. Children under a year shouldn't play with toys that have parts smaller than 1¼ inches around or 2¼ inches long. Also, keep her away from buttons, coins, safety pins, balloons, and rocks. Make sure that mobiles can't be pulled into your baby's mouth, and don't allow her to play with a baby powder container — the contents can shake free and clog the throat.
Savannah really likes her pink and white “blankie” and her Teddy bear. It makes her feel better if she’s crying, sad or scared.
She likes to look through her books, she likes songs like Eensy Weensy spider, old MacDonald, the Alphabet song, etc. She likes music, but no earphones yet.
Savannah just started walking last week, but tends to crawl mostly.
Please change her diaper at least once, these diapers feel dry even though they’re wet. Very absorbent diapers!!
Thank you, Nicole! J

Holy cow! I wonder if the baby sitter even read this?! She must have thought I was crazy!
That is so funny! The first time I left my oldest was with my mother-in-law. I serioulsy left her THREE PAGES of instructions. (She's raised 4 children of her own...) haha. We still laugh about it today. Now... I hand over the kids with a simple, "GOOD LUCK!" Thanks for sharing, Brenda. You have the sweetest kiddos!
I started giggling when you noted the inches of objects that are too small for Savannah. Did you include measuring tape with your instructions? Hee hee. That was classic. Thanks for sharing!!
Awww, first time mom that you were. Here you are, slinging' three of 'em around now!
Love ya!
