David signs

Taking David from sitting in hot tub to the pool last week, he signed "cold". It was the cutest thing ever. Judd and I both were witness and were surprised as well.

David, you are such a smart boy! Mommy and Daddy haven'd shown you that sign in months! Proud of you little man!

Goings on

Yes, we are at the park and yes, there is snow on the ground. We wanted to take full advantage of the first warm days of spring. We were only there for a short time, but long enough to enjoy some giggles wiggles, swinging and sliding.

David is just about to get a new car seat - a forward facing one! We can't wait, it's going to propel us into another fantastic chapter of this crazy wonderful awesome life. Thank you, God!

Savannah loves to climb on her daddy. I was laying on the bed, Judd had come in to talk to me so he was on his knees with his elbows on the bed...Savannah came along and plopped right down on his neck. Seeing those two do their Father-Daughter thing brings me great joy.

I captured this image of Luke and Savannah playing in the window sill at WFC. The MOPS Mondays are my favorites. After the meeting, I collect ALL of the teaching tools that Leah has prepared for that day from the 13 classrooms. Savannah, Luke, and David hang out with me in Room 16 as I sort and organize. We're there for about two hours. It's really quite amusing to watch them play while I work. And there's even a bathroom with a diaper changing table for David, a toddler size toilet for the older two, should they need it. I'll really miss these days when they are gone!! I need to remember to take some photos of the classroom to post.

David visiting Savannah in the bubble bath. Judd took this shot while I was out and about!

How fun are is this crew?!

Praises

Watching my children grow...how amazing they are, in each and every way. Having children is like the difference between night and day. They have taught me about life, opened my eyes to things that I never knew existed. Praise God for 3 wondrous blessings. Praise to Our Lord Almighty! The best thing that I can pass onto my children is the awareness of how God loves them so, and how He has created a purpose for them, it lies in their hearts. I know I don't have show this or teach it to them all by myself, He is with me, guiding me every step of the way. Amazing He is. My God loves me more than I love my children. How cool is that?!

A wee update

The kids are growing right before my eyes. When does the wonder and awe stop? I wonder if most moms by now have fallen into the groove, a routine, habit and stopped wondering? I sure haven't. I still hold my babies close, kiss the tops of their heads and picture the first time I held each one of them.

Savannah carries her pink and white blankie, the very one she's had the day she was born. I clearly remember swaddling her in it.

Luke is SO CUTE! I came home from a MOPS Steering meeting last night, he and Savannah were super excited when I came through the door. Savannah yells out, "MOM!! We have a June bug!!" I love seeing that pure excitement overflowing from her. Luke stood on his tippy toes from the excitement, and shouts, "JUUUNE BUUUG!! JUUUNE BUUUG!" His clenched fists were shaking! And to make him even cuter...he was wearing his pajammas. :) Hee. Hee.

And here is David in a nutshell:

He's cute, he smiles, he poops, he's cute, he eats, he's cute, he sleeps, and he's cute! He may have rolled over once... I was in the kitchen making sandwiches for lunch while Luke and Savannah were watching a Sesame Street DVD, David was on his back on a blanket close by. I called the kids in to eat and they raced into the kitchen. When I glanced at David, he was on his tummy! The kids might have made a quick stop to flip him over, but they ran in so quick I don't think they would've had time to do it. So David MIGHT have rolled over. It's been about 3 days, and he hasn't done it. Hmmm...

The fun never stops around here.

It's time to start thinking about CDO, pictures, clothes for the fall, and potty training Luke.

I truly felt like a mother when I mended Luke's teddy's ear. Sewn by hand. :)

Savannah speaks! Amen!

David LOVES to be ON me ALL THE TIME. If he's awake, I must hold him, talk to him, sing to him, carry him, bounce him or nurse him. Which means I can't clean or pick up the Mr. Potato Head pieces I keep stepping on! I thought I had made Mr. Potato Head disappear once. And yes, kids, I did dispose of some of his parts earlier today, an arm, a pair of lips, a couple of eyes... Yep, you will understand some day. (Santa must not have had kids aged three and under.)

Back to the story...

I'm cradling and bouncing a fussy baby David, hoping beyond hope that he will fall asleep.

Clean diaper = check
well fed = check
burped = check
comfy, clean clothes = check

Must be tired.

Savannah and Luke are swirling around me, wrestling, and yelling. So I go to my quiet bedroom and find that my bed has been stripped to the bare mattress, uh huh, yep, not a problem, I can just put a fresh set of sheets on when I get a minute. I go ahead and sit down on the bed with David, thankful that he's calming down in the quiet room.

Enter Savannah and Luke...

Luke: I want up.

I pull him up onto the bed.

Savannah climbs up to and lays down behind me with David's minature bible in her hands.

Me: Let's be quiet so David can fall asleep and then we can play in the living room. Let's be quiet.

Savannah starts kicking me in the back, not hard, but enough to notice. Luke is actually being quiet snuggling with his blankie.

David starts cooing and being cute, so of course I start cooing back and then Luke decides he's going to pretend my bed is a trampoline. He bumps David, David starts crying, I start feeling hot and say, "Let's be still and quiet so Baby David can get some sleep."

Luke's hooting and hollering now.

I can hear Savannah reciting something behind me. I'm trying to catch Luke while holding David, and we're making all kinds of noise and Savannah says,

"Quiet you guys!! I'm reading a story about God!!"

Yep.
